PROOF He Loves You!

In my last blog I reminded you of the classic song, Jesus Loves You This I Know. I hope you still have that song ringing in your ears! This time I want to show you what the Bible says about God loving you. Most of the references are from either the NLT (New Living Testament) or the TPT (The Passion Translation).

John 3:16 TPT: “For here is the way God loved the world – he gave his only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life.” Yes, God loves the whole world, but it’s okay to personalize it. God loves me!

1 John 4:10 NLT “This is real love – not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.” We didn’t earn it. He made the decision of His own free will to do this for us because He loves us.

Romans 8:38 TPT “So now I live with the confidence that there is nothing in the universe with the power to separate us from God’s love. I’m convinced that his love will triumph over death, life’s troubles, fallen angels, or dark rulers in the heavens. There is nothing in our present or future circumstances that can weaken his love. There is no power above us or beneath us – no power that could ever be found in the universe that can distance us from Gods passionate love, which is lavished upon us through our Lord Jesus, the Anointed One!” So you see, there is nothing you have done, nothing that you will do that can keep God from loving you.

Lamentations 3:22 NLT “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.” God will constantly be working on your behalf!

John 15:9 TPT “I love each of you with the same love that the Father loves me. You must continually let my love nourish your hearts.” Oh my! That just feeds my soul!

Zephaniah 3:17 NLT “For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty savior. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.” God’s love for us is so personal. He delights in us! I think of my relationship with my grandsons. I delight in spending time with each of them. They make me smile just thinking of them. That’s how God feels about YOU!

Ephesians 3:17-19 NLT “Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.” My prayer for you is that you experience His love. Not just read about it. Not just hear about it. But truly experience it for yourself. That’s when everything changed for me!

These verses are just the tip of the iceberg! The Bible has so much more to say about what God thinks of you. I challenge you to read it for yourself and find out more. Remember, Jesus loves you this I know, for the Bible tells me so!
